Truck is a 2004 mounty, AWD, v8, 30k on the clock.

basically sometimes when my Mounty is going from 2nd to 3rd gear it just Hesitates or Pauses for 1 to 3 seconds.
I can HEAR that the truck WANTS to shift, and it just DOESN'T shift as normal for a brief 1 to 3 seconds, then it just KICKS HARD, and shifts into the next gear.
it has ALSO done it in other gears, however i never kept track.
But it TYPICALLY does it mostly on 2nd to 3rd gear it seems like.
This problem SEEMS to happen more during cold weather....
Anybody?
