[updated: broken intermediate bands] transmission parts
alright, if you've been following my previous thread about the back off throttle and the 1st gear to 3rd gear issues, this has sort of been resolved.
by playing with the bands, it now shifts perfect all on its own at the right time in the mornings for about 5 minutes, then it goes back to me having to back off the throttle to shift. i barely have the shift 1-3 issue anymore, depending at what speed i'm driving. if i floor it from a stop, it'll go right to 3rd, if i take it easy, it'll go to 2nd then 3rd.
but mainly what i want to know now is why it works like new while its cold. i believe heat is causing something to expand, then it loses pressure.
At the current time i don't have the time to take it to a transmission shop, as i'm in school 5 days a week and work after school and saturdays. usually the hours i'm not in school or working the shops are all closed.
transmission guys, chime in. the symptoms are different now
and i think its for the better !
