trany problem

ok I dont think it is slipping, its when i was driving along and the auto box drops down into 2nd and then it makes a noise like a power saw!! then if you slow down a little it stops, if you put your foot down all is fine till you slow down again and the grear box drops into 2nd and then it starts again......... but the noise it makes it a little like a saw.... kind of strange.... I just had a tow truck come and take it away.......

anyone have any ideas?
