Not idle but when I go from a red light or what have you I hear " weeeeeeeeeeee " it is not relative to the RPM's nor the speed of the truck. I really can not tell exactally where it is to come from. It is also not consistant.
Any guesses !?!?

hrmm. shady. my truck is making a few noises that are pissing me off lately, and a whistle is one of em. i have no idea what it is, either (mine does it through certain rpms, though.) i think these engines just whistle, heh.

ooo, ya know what?...i just remembered, yours might be the "wheel bearing" deal. i forget exactly what it is (its another common issue that ford is completely aware of.) i think its something like the seal on the wheel bearings leak, or something like that. mine had it a long time ago and ford took care of it under warranty. hopefully someone else will be able to explain it and help you troubleshoot it better.

I was having that weird noise also, although it may be different than what you are talking about. If it is really loud and obnoxious could be from the fan, fan clutch, or idle pulley i just had to get those repaired.

Nah , not real loud and obnoxious. Some times louder than others. But never real loud. Goes away by the time I get to the end of the street. ( 1/2 mile tops )

maybe just rust on the brakes?

Nah , sounds like air decompressing.
