Hey guys, I have a 99 Sport I just bought around 2 weeks ago. I want to lift it about 2" and I was just wondering will the stock torsion bars go up to that much or will they need to be replaced. Thanks in advance for any help.

they will but 2 inches is hard on the front cv axles,,

Ok thanks. I may not lift it that high then. I'm glad you told me that though. When I get her how I want I will post pics.

Welcome!

Check out my thread here that shows what I did to lift mine up.

I was in the same boat as you only a few months ago!

Nice build man. I want to get some ranger wheels for mine eventually.

This is my Ex as she sits now.

Nice!

Slowly but surely, you will get it to where you want!

Thanks. It's come a long way in the 2.5 weeks I've owned it.

you 2wd? cus if so, you can crank on em torsions a bit more

my rig is as far as an IFS rig can go, and i know that if it's a 4wd, he is on the top of what can be done,,
only way now to go up more is,, in price lowest to highest,

body lift ---- about $200 plus your labour,

Superlift --- about $2300 plus your labour , than add gearing for the bigger tires,, real cost,, about $4500 with gears install and tires on top,,

SAS -- solid axle, ?? making everything on your own ?? wheels tires, and others parts ???

you can take it from there,,
always account for the total it takes, including wheels tires and such,,

by the way, your rig looks great they way it is now,, i would rock that,,

Thanks guys. I like how it is now just want a little more clearance. Mainly in the rear. Tht and wheel spacer will get the fitment about where I want it. Eventually it's going to get a Yakima rack, custom front bumper, and maybe a rear spare tire carrier.
