Tuning My Band pass and amp

hey yall, i need soem help,

i would like soem help on tuning my bandpass box, and the seeting on my amp.

I have a Pro Bend Bandpass Box for a single 12".
I have a 12" Pionner TS-W34C Subwoofer
and its powered by a Rockford Fosgate 150S Amp.

also what should i set my gain at, and also my other settings.

also i want this preetty much tuned for rap msuic only, ( i think expo said that would be around 45hz)

thats the port tube........


it has premade lines on it i guess to help ya cut it, i jsut need to know which line, if theres anything else ya need to know i can prolly get the info

Hatchback shape: 15-1/4"H x 18-3/4"W x 16-1/2"D

Volume: 0.56 cu. ft. (rear ported section), 0.9 cu. ft. (front sealed section)

hey- i'd start out with the port all they way uncut. no one is going to be able to tell you how it should be by looking at it without every spec of the box (and even then the tuning is a matter of preference) if you don't like how it sounds with it all the way out (if you want it louder/punchier) then start trimming it


to set the gain turn it all the way down then turn the rest of your system on and up to a normal listening volume. now turn the gain knob until the sub meshes with the rest of your system (sounds like you want it to- again the setting is up to you, you can make it bas heavy or bass low) don't set it to too much sensitivity though- it sucks when you have ugly bass notes at low volume.

expo- if i trim it tho, but want to make it longer again than what do i do ??

that is why god made PVC or you can buy a cardboard tube that would go around that one in the pic
