i just recently used a full scan tool. it pulled out codes P0174 (which ive had for the longest time) and P0455 (something with the EVAP system). do these codes have any connection at all. i know p0174 is system too lean (bank 2)...i cleaned the MAF sensor, replaced all oxygen sensors, but not sure if there any leaks. please help guys thanks.

Sika, the codes are not related. The evap code is 'usually' caused from a faulty fuel filler cap, since it's a gross leak. Try that first. If that dosen't work, look for a loose or cracked evap hose, possibly at the EVAP solenoid above the spare tire.

The lean bank 2 is probably a leaking intake O-ring gasket on the driver's side. Very common. You might try snugging down the intake bolts on that side first. Might help.

Good luck,
ROE

where is this fuel filter cap?

Ha ha, fuel FILLER cap......it's the gas cap. This EVAP code shows up when the cap is left loose, so check the O-ring seal first. It may be broken/missing, and hopefully a new cap will fix it.

just checked the evap system. i found that a hose was disconnected, i fixed, reset the evap code via battery disconnect. i ill have to wait and see if the code pops back up.
