I just replaced intake manifold gasket and to be honest, the EGR tubes and such were pretty much rusted away. SO the car ran ok since the repair, but I thought the brakes were a little off and there was a noticable but faint high noise, possible small vacuum leak.
Today, a pop noise from the drivers side of engine, and the truck staggered home. The Trans went into OD Flashing mode and I am not sure what to check.
What is the best way to check for the vacuum leak? On the good side the intake manifold repair is holding and no fluids are leaking.
This truck is on its last life and hoping to get one more winter out of it. Gotta like having a good running beater for the winters.
