So after installing new rotors, calipers and pads all the way around today. I was just about to drop it down and saw this 10-12" piece of what looks like 1/4" hose, just clipped to my crossmember right in front of the spare tire. The ends are perfect. Niether end has seen a fitting or even been clipped in its life. As you can see, the pictures didnt turn out so good. But anybody's $0.02 is welcome. Just wondering.

In the 2nd picture you can see me point the end of the hose to where it was clipped onto the crossmember. As I said, it is virgin hose. Never been touched.
Input Please.

thats your diff breather hose prevents water from entering your diff

Sounds like the rear axle vent hose. There should be a little nipple on the drivers side tube between the swaybar mount and leaf spring.

So, it just fell off the rear end?

Well, it's gone, idk where I put it...anyone know the diameter of the hose?

When you replace the hose, you can use a panel retainer clip on the atmosphere end. Lets it breathe, but keeps the bugs out.

Yea I found out mine was off too late like when I was trying to figure out how my rear got filled up with water. After a full day of cleaning the slime out of the housing and rebuilding the whole thing I put a new hose on with hightach (yellow death) and a clamp then ran it up as high as I could with plenty of slack and topped it with a breather valve off a old bronco tranny
