In reference to the bucking I asked about , if I want to try unplugging the control module under the glove box to disconnect the t-case?, what does it look like and what do I do? I dont know anything about anything and would love to solve this problem on my own. I think I see 2 things that plug in. One is toward the front of the truck and the other is behind that facing the back of the truck. Is that it?

Thanks

It's the one that says 4X4 CM on it. Also has two connectors attached to it. Squeeze the sides of the glove box inward and it will swing down out of the way.

Might be easier to remove those two fuses I mentioned in your other thread. But either way will do it.

Does this prevent you from manually putting it in four wheel drive or just prevents the auto function?

Removing the 4x4 CM makes the system useless. You will not be able to use it manually or auto.

yes, it sounds like you found it. I always unplug the one towards the back. I am able to unplug it and plug it back in while driving just by reaching underneath the glove box so its pretty easy once you know how to reach for it. You shouldn't have to take the glove box out to access just the wires. It will totally disable the 4x4 and your 4x4 low light will come on (the one on the dash button, not the instrument cluster). I'm not sure why, but it doesn't affect my truck. Hopefully this will fix your problem, good luck!

Like I said in the other thread I like my system as it is but it might be worth checking it to see if the gas mileage increases with it unhooked. If gas gets back up to $4 per gallon this summer it would be worth it.

Thanks everyone!!! I did it!!! I unplugged that module and the bucking stopped. I am so excited.
