Well my explorer has always been pulling to the right since i bought it from the mechanic..

today i noticed when putting air in the tires that the upper a arm was way different from the left one..and im thinking that this may cause the truck to pull to one side..i took pictures of bother sides.

if i bring it to a aliment shop do you think they would be able to shim or adjust it so the truck would go stright..

The left & right upper a-arms are different by design. They get adjusted where they attach to the frame. There are 4 plates (2 for each side) that are used to adjust the camber. Some places call them cam adjusters. They are about $20. Stock explorers can't adjust the camber. These adjusters allow the camber to be changed.

An alignment shop should be able to put it back in to spec. Expect to pay $20 to $40 more because of the cam adjusters. You can always supply them yourself. How does the wear on the inside of the tires look? Also, the car should pull to the outside of the road because of crowning in the road.

ok thanks..

today i was driving down the highway to see how bad the aliment is..its not that much compared to others i know of..

but a funny thing happened when i hit the breaks, i hit the breaks and the tires lit up..i just finished getting it out of the shop on friday, so i think the mechanic forgot to connect the ABS or somthing

too add to this. If you change you uppers ball-joints they make give you matching upper arms. I guess this is the new design.

I have never had my X aligned and haven't had any problems.

Even tho it might help to get new new shocks for the frontend too. That one on left side is in baaaaadddd shape

well the that is another problem im tring to figure out, either it my power steerinf pump fluid, break fluid or some sort of spray like WD40..

i have a little pool of that on my steering pump cap..i put my finger in it and its greasy and brown with a hint of pink looking...not tranny fluid tho

same story

My explo lean slightly to the right side (sometimes it goes, sometimes not). I changed upper and lower balljoints and the rubber on stabiliser bar. they also adjust the allignment. But the problem remain. My next step is to check schock absorbers and bearings (they probably are in a bad shape). What is interesting it happens not regularly.

Could be your torsion bars need to be adjusted.

Also, if you talking about right side (as you look head on, aka the drivers side) The rear springs sag from the weight of the gas tank and driver and may make your truck appear to be lobsided.
