I don't use the transfer case much. Is it advantageous to run with it engaged once in a while? I don't think I've engaged it for a year? Should I run it at 4-HI on a nice straight road for a few miles once a month, what about 4-L? Run it on a dirt road for a few miles?
Any thoughts.
Do these transfer cases need to be engaged to pump oil through them for the seals sake?

Let me know.

Thanks,

Dont run it on dry pavement.Go find some mud then engage it:D

Running in 4 high isnt necessary because you have auto 4x4 that kicks in occasionally. But you should run it in 4-low for a few minutes every few months to get that oil moving.
