V8 tranny questions

ok i did a search and ive seen the MANY 5.0 engines in the first gen explorers but i couldnt find much on manual transmissions that were used for the V8's.... im just curious of the part number or where to look for the tranny....i know some F-150's had manual tranny but most that i have found have the giant 5.8L motor so i dont think that gear will work with a 5.0...


another question is if anyone has used the 4.6L V8 SOHC engines in a first gen X...... i know the mustangs have that motor and come with beefy manual trannys.....

so really im lookin for manual tranny/V8 combo....

ok so i did more searching and it seems like a problem with my previous post would be fitting a tranny and T-case from a full size truck under an X would be hard without a body lift or modding the tranny hump.... true?

If I were you, I'd use a T-5 from a mustang and use Advance Adapters Xfer case adapter kit. Sort of pricey but easy to do.
