vaccum line

i have a 96 ex xlt. i bought it used. there is a vaccum line coming from the front diff. what does it connect to from there. i have looked but can`t find where it goes. any help would be appreciated.

This is called a vent tube for the differential. I do not think that it is a vacuum hose going into the intake manifold. The hose's end is probably attached to the upper portion of the firewall.

All this does is allow the differential to essentially, breathe.
