A while back my city MPG dropped significantly (14 mpg city) and I got a code for a med vac leak. I finally got around to doing a cigar smoke thru the brake booster hose test. The only place I could see a tiny amount of smoke was from the location in the pic. I sprayed some carb cleaner there with the engine running and it did change the idle a little bit, but not dramatically.
Is this a common place to develop a vac leak?
Is the part bad or just where its bolted to the manifold? Is there a gasket there?
What is the name of this part?
Thanks!

That's the EGR valve. There should be a gasket. On the 5.0L it's not easy to remove -- search this forum.
