Value of a 4.0 OHV

I swapped in a 5.0 in my '93 Ranger, and would like to sell the 4.0. Any idea what it is worth?

1993 4.0 OHV
320,000 miles - runs well, doesn't burn oil
Complete exhaust system, including cats.
Computer (automatic trans) and engine wiring harness
Intake (factory '93 and '95 Explorer for CAI)
Spare hoses

Is $500 reasonable?

Something is worth whatever someone else is willing to pay for it.

It's usually based on need.

To someone that blew an engine and needs one, that would be well worth $500. To someone who is rebuilding and either wants something to swap in or a better rebuild candidate, it's probably worth a lot less.

You know how it works on here, sometimes you can't give stuff away, and sometimes you just happen to have what someone else nearby is looking for.

$500 is a reasonable starting point, though I would expect to wind up selling it for $200-300, unless of course someone reasonably close by is looking for one.
