Hello everyone,
Have a 2006 XLT 4.0 with 160k+ miles, bought it 5 years ago with 80k miles came with most options leather, 4x4, 3Rd row seats, navigation, tow package, I have done a few upgrades over time, added 20" limited wheels, replaced head unit with a pioneer navigation and new speakers, added volume controls to the steering wheel, backup camera.
Mechanically runs well, never had issues other than the thermostat housing as you all know those are junk, regular maintenance and spark plugs changed 2 years ago, No mods to the engine, all stock and is starting to swallow more gas than before, can barely get maybe 300 miles out of a tank.
Was thinking about replacing it with a 2010 limited V8 but decided to keep it a little longer so I'm looking for ideas to bring more life into it, how can I explain... adding mods and features while keeping a factory look, as if said mods were meant to be there, right now I'm thinking about ordering a new grille, the sport trac style or adrenalin style grille in black, maybe adding a sunroof, subwoofer too (didn't come with one) but in the same location as stock as I use all 7 seats, small mods too, about to order a USB/HDMI flush mount for the head unit, rear view mirror dash cam.
Any other cool mods/ toys you guys have added to your trucks ?
