if it's a v8 than it's 2wd or all wheel drive all the time. If it's a v6 it could be 2wd, or 4wd with a couple of different options. I'm not sure what the cut off is for which years got which options. You will have either 2wd, 4hi, and 4 low as options or 4auto, 4hi, and 4 low. If you have the 4 auto option it is in 2wd but if it detects wheel spin then it engages the transfer case automatically to put it into 4wd.
