The Big Explorer finally fell victim to the infamous "door ajar" light. Many thanks to members here and a YouTube video. A couple of wires (black) broke in the harness between the driver's door and the body, which members here had posted as a possible cause many times, pointed me in the right direction and a video showing step by step on how to fix.
