Hey all, was here hours ago doing a lot of reading and using that nice little search function. I did find some info but not everything.

Here is my problem. My washer fluid does not come out when the switch is pushed. Front or back.

What I know. Fluid is not frozen (I'm visiting in Pa. So its cold). It was working when my trip started. Lines are not clogged as well as the ports are not clogged. I can not here a hum from the pump when the switch is pushed. I do have a blown fuse on "power point 2".

What I don't know. What is the fuse power point 2 for. If that is not the fuse for the pump, what is the correct fuse to check? I checked quite a few but did not find any others.

I don't have a garage or cover area for working so I did not start pulling the washer res out to check to see if I was getting power to the pump. I'm from Florida so this freezing temp is keeping me from getting on the ground or really digging into the engine compartment spending along time outside...LOL. Also, my mom (where I'm visiting) doesn't have internet, so I am relying on my blackberry for getting info.

Just incase it doesn't show anywhere, I have an '04 XLT with the 4.0.

Any help will be appreciated and I will be checking the thread frequently. Thanks in advance.

Well everyone, it seemed that my pump must have had frozen up someway because it just started to work on its own on a 30 plus degree day.

Now, I did goto the dealer to get the fuse replaced for the "power point 2" in slot 7 under the hood regardless since I thought I may need it. I was shocked to find out that they, the dealer, could not tell me what it was for. They had no clue. All they told me was that it was for power point 2. Well duh!!! LOL!!!

I bought the fuse and put it in and still don't know what I gained from it. So I still have that unanswered question, what is it for?

Btw, those odd shaped fuses are expensive. $5 for just one!!! Wow!!!

Happy New Year everyone. I know forums are slow during holiday time, plus I am in no hurry for this answer, but hope to figure it out.
