Hey I heard there was a site out there for those of us whose been robbed and still have like a faceless deck or a face of a deck. Anybody know of a recovery or resale site like that? Anybody?

I have an Aiwa deck just sitting around cause somebody broke in and just stole the face and from a year earlier while my car was in the shop for a while even though I had the remote and face at home somebody still broke in to take the deck. I hope I don't have to give of hope of these things were they are worthless. Both of these were MP3/WMA decks.

yeah ebay quite often will have stolen faceplates for sale, or owners will have the faceplates, cuz crooks stole the unit.....

should just kill people that steal this stuff, easy....

I have looked to ebay now and then but never seen my models, was looking for a more specific site

i had my stuff stolen. crook took the face plate and you can see where he tried to pry the radio out but must have been scared off before he could get it out, pioneer wanted 200 dollars for the face plate. So i just sold the reciever on ebay for a hundred bucks

usually the manufacturer has replacement parts... might be more expensive as a new deck itself, but they got it

I had someone steal my faceplate a few weeks back, found a replacement faceplate and remote separately on eBay for about $80. They were quite a bit more from the Manufacturer. I looked everywhere for a site which specializes in these parts, and found a few, but they were all nearly as expensive as the manufacturer, for USED parts.

eBay has a feature where you can do a search, save it and have them email you whenever someone posts something which matches. I simply put in my model number and the word faceplate, and another with the word remote and waited. Within three weeks both things popped up, I got an email and I was able to bid on them without constantly checking the website.

So that's my suggestion. eBay is your best, cheapest, bet.
