weird noise coming from wheel

driving down the road i hear a bumb bumb bumb as if my tire had a flat spot in it... then i start hearing some squeeking coming from the same place... a few weeks ago something cought my inner joint boot on the left front and tore it off pretty much, i have not replaced it yet like a moron so all the grease slung out... its greaseless and exposed to weather.... do you think its going out? could that be the noise? any info would be appreciated... thanks!

Um, yea....................the inner cv joint is bad.

Yeah, I agree with Robb - I have seen MANY many of these at our shop that people just allow to stay cut or torn and they dry out.

yep, thats what i figured... about how much to replace... ill do the work myself...

also my (ABS) light... it comes on as soon as i start my x. and it wont turn off... any idea what thats about?
