I am very excited to finally have one.

Will get some pictures up when I get it home, but here is a few after the test drive.

It was alittle dirty after the test drive.

'13 xlt with polished wheel option. 202A pack with tow pack nav and pana roof.
It wasnt the limited I wanted but it is in amazing condition. 18 000km on the clock

Thanks again to all those that helped me with my questions. Hopefully I can help others out in the future.

Congrats

Congratulations machine4321..
I was a bit confused at first (normal state). I was looking at the first picture and saw the grill and thought it was an XLT but then saw the wheels and that threw me off. I then saw the second picture and the note about the upgraded wheels. Good looking ride.

I was reluctant to go with the xlt, but after seeing the condition it was in I was sold. Probably the easiest sale of the day for the salesman. We drove it, came back and said "lets do it". Plus my wife got the color she wanted. Im glad we picked the sterling.

It has all I was wanting. I would have liked the sony system (former Audio sales). I have built trophy winning car stereos, and I was really impressed with the sony system. But the xlt wasnt horrible. Mabye a speaker upgrade at some point. All the rest of the limited options were not needed after seeing the condition. Not to mention the limited waqs a 12 With 34 000km on it. It was only a 1000 less in price. I took the advice to get a '13

Looking good. Congratulations.

Congrats and welcome.

Thanks!

Even better news, my insurance dropped almost $20 a month of this vehicle over our 2000 acura EL(fancy civic). This was due to the safty rating.

I'm glad everything worked out, machine4321. I'm sure the two of you will have many happy miles together! :D

congrats! Bought mine 2 weeks ago and love it!!!

Back from getting the EX. Glad I had a bit of a drive, this thing is incredible!! It is much faster then the testers let on. The MFT worked great, dispite me plowing through menus in excitment. On the way home I was really wanting the left display to remeber where I was on the previous menu, upon getting home and playing on the settings I found it.

What does the reverse wipe do? Does it wipe when you put the vehicle into reverse?

I have just been driving around enjoying it. Quiet, tight, and on a 200km drive I averaged 10.4l/100km I know it wasnt a long drive but I was happy with the milage.

Even got to drive it through a foot or so of snow. The front lip is very low :P but it was soft snow.
I will break out the camera when its cleaned up, everybody needs to see more completly stock explorers around here!!

Glad to hear you are enjoying your Explorer. The reverse wipe comes on automatically when you put the vehicle in reverse and you have the rain sensing wipers set to ON.
But this happens only if there is enough rain to activate the front wipers. The sensor is located in that large plastic piece that is just above where the mirror is fixed to the windshield.

Strange. I dont have the auto wipers.
I think they are only available on the Limited. As for insurance, mine dropped as well compared to the '09 Highlander I had. Yearly premium is now $622 and that includes the 5% discount for Winter tires. I'm retired and belong to a group plan (RCMP) through my insurance company.

You are still 400 a year cheaper:).

Suprised they have that option in the menus when the xlt offer it?

I think you may find a few things in the left hand screen menu that may not be operatable. I am sure that the menus are all basically the same for convenience and cost effectiveness. Like me, it looks like you also don't have the tow package but you will likely find that the menu has a setting for Sway Control.
