I've spent many hours trying to find the leak or leaks that cause my floor to be wet and rusty under the vinyl floor covering. I think I've finally fixed the problem but only time will tell. In the process I found a body plug with a sensor wire that had been replaced or unplugged and never returned I also blew out the drain holes for the sunroof( I don't think that was the problem at all as they weren't plugged or even dirty. I put clear RTV around the 3 brake light and gasket and I did the same to the roof rack as well as tightening the screws to both ( both were loose) I spent five days cleaning scrapping and coating the floors as well as drying the foam under the vinyl flooring. This has been a lot of work but I love this Sport Trac and I'll be dammed if I'll let rust destroy it. Living in New England fighting rust on our vehicles is a everyday battle and I'm not giving up the fight.

I had the same problem. I did everything you did but still had the leak. Two things I found.

Run water down the drain holes in the sunroof. Make sure the water is going out side. My 2 front hoses were disconnected down by the foot kick panel and was draining the water into the front cab.

The second leak was a little harder to detect. I had my wife spray the top of Trac while I was inside the back with everything closed. I had the floor pulled up with a flash light. What I found was that my door seals at the bottom were letting water in from loose door seals at the bottom. The water would pool up and then Get absorbed into the foam of the floor mat.

I reglued the door seals and have been dry for years. I'm in Florida so I get plenty of rain. I hope this helps

Rick
