So, someone broken my 17 Explorer limited tailgate window glass with BB gun. Safelite came today and replaced the glass. I just noticed the left side of the top cover that the brake light mount to is very loose. I checked inside, the part is attached to tailgate with 4 screw but the left side screw/bolt is broken hence it’s loose. Also the brake light is half way out from the cover… safelite tech didn’t tell me anything but told me that I will receive a survey in an email, 9 or 10 rating is important to him… I need to check the part to see if the screw that stuck inside or it’s broken from the part..

Here is the pic. Anyone know if there are any easy to fix it? Double side tape?

Here is my brake light. I tried to push it inside but it’s pretty sturdy. Anyone knows if there is screw inside?

So the part number is: FB5Z-7844210-AB
Rear Spoiler for 2016-2019

I have attached what the inside looks like based off a listing on eBay for it

Can’t say if those screw pegs are replaceable or not. But hopefully this helps

The brake light assembly is:

According to:

It appears there are 4 screws:

I'm guessing that the spoiler had to be removed in order to replace the glass. Is that correct? If so, and there were no issues prior to replacing the glass then they should come back and fix it properly.
