What can I do to beef up the 5 speed Mazda tranny?

My 5 speed tranny went. I can get a complete remanufactored tranny. It's the Mazda 5 speed manual. What can I do to it, to make it stronger? Different HD bearings, syncros, input shaft etc. & where can I get this stuff, if its available.

Make sure those plugs on top are replaced that are prone to leaking.

There just isn't much out there that you can do with a 5-speed manual, unless you are going to change to a different type tranny. Try http://www.drivetrain.com/manualtransparts.html
They have parts and an online forum dedicated to transmissions.
