Just wanted if anybody had any ideas on what make a front seal blow.. There is a overflow isn't if too much fluid is added . Just trying to figure can the water cause it to blow...?

Many things can affect the life of the front pump seal.... dusty or muddy operating conditions, manufacturing anomallys, excessive heat, moisture (especially in conjunction with freezing temps.), excessive runout or imbalance and even any number of problems affecting the clearance between the torque convertor and the bushing. A plugged breather (this is not an overflow, BTW) can have a deciding effect as well.

Mileage, climate and vehicle use play a distinct role in the life of most any part and, especially, those parts considered "sacrificial". When you ask a question, pertinent information can go a long way to assisting in a meaningful diagnosis.

Where is the Transmission Breather

Where is the trans. breather ? How can I check it ?

Tranny vent is on top of the trans..... along it's "spine". I can't, for the life of me, remember which style is on the A4LD. It will either be a smallish tube (sometimes with a rubber hose attached) or a "thimble" over a nipple. This vent needs to be kept free of debris to prevent pressure differentials within the trans.
