Hi all, new on this board, hope to make some friends, and very few enemies!! Anyway, I have an Explorer, and I want to get new headers, a new exaust system, and a SuperChip to get rid of my RPM/speed limitations. I am also intrested in getting 17` Michelin Pilots for my car, is this possiable on a Explorer?

Really, what I want is a fast, powerful Ford Explorer, and any suggestions to what might do this is highly appreciated!! Please get back to me, or you can e-mail me @ ilikedellcomputers@hotmail.com

Thanks!

Welcome to the Message Board. You are on the right track with the mods. And Yes 17" Rims and tires will fit you have a 5 on 4 1/2 bolt pattern.

Some thing else that you would want to do is get more air in the engine. With Headers and Cat-back you have more air going out but not in. You should go with a k&n or a KKM Air filter. With a larger MAS and throttle body to get the air flowing in...

BTW I like Dell computers too....

Welcome! Kris is right on with the mods he already listed. Are you planning on making your rig more off-road able or do you want it more street looking. If you are going for a street look I would check out the Street Truck Forum and read there about wheel and tire combos. We also have some good talks on drops for your Exploder. Once again welcome.

trck,

You put Cobra Rs on your Trac? Any pictures? I saw one at the dealer the other day and tried to imagine what they'd look with Cobra R rims. Small world that you have done it!

I am going to have my truck washed today and will take some pictures of it after that. I also just installed the drop on it to. It looks good. I will have them posted asap.

Cool, thanks a lot for all of your help, hey trckmagik, what is the address for the street forum you mentioned? As a matter of fact, I forgot to mention this, I do have a K&N Air Filter, bought it 3 months ago, excellent, best 60 bucks CDN ever spent!!

How hard is it to put headers and a cat. back system on my Explorer? Will getting a SuperChip put in screw up my on-board computer and 4x4 system?

Thanks so much for your replys, looks like I am making some new friends already!!

hey ilikedell,
i'll be putting a set of JBA headers and a flowmaster cat-back on my '95 this weekend i'll let you know how hard it was.

Ilikedell, Just go to the main message board and scroll down until you get to the Street Truck Forum. We have talks about rims and drops in that section for street setup Explorers.

Cool thanks, would really look forward to your review regarding those JBA Headers and FlowMaster Cat-Back System. And thanks trckmagik for your help as well!!
