It looks good but note the comment about MP3 playing. Personally I got hold of a Kenwood KDC-PSW9524 radio CD/MP3/WMA receiver & remote control and I love it.

That looks very good. Aren't the Explorers come with double DIN size or atleast 1 1/2 size? What do you plan to fill up the bottom part?

MP3's sound like poop. It's one feature I personally can do without in a head unit.

mp3s sound like poop? maybe you shoudl get some better quality mp3s. or maybe a better hu. My alpine 7995 with extrememly good quality mp3s have very lil to no distortion or static.

The one area that does provide a sneer on a daily basis, is the MP3 track access method. Directory based, and occasionally 'flaky' with respect to ID3 tags

if your mp3s sound like poop stop listening to them on the toilet.

What he said... Same deck too... And I try to convert all my MP3's at 128 and they sound good enough for me...

I have no problems with sound of MP3s.

However, I rarely listen to them since I have XM Radio.

i agree tha mp3s sound like poop- but thats why i bought an equalizer that will reintroduce the bass that is removed in their mp3ing process. how can you guys say that they sound great?

also, that hu is a kenwood... enough said about how it looks
