- 2006 Explorer Eddie Bauer
Hello everyone. I am happy to have found this forum. This is my first post.
I recently purchased a 2006 Explorer 4WD with the 4.0 V6 with 93000 miles. The car interior is nearly pristine condition and the engine looks showroom new. It was a 2 owner car .... but clearly taken care of by both. Even had some records with it.
I recently took it on a 3000 mile trip pulling my travel trailer (about 3300 lbs). I had no problems. I did a lot of research before purchasing the vehicle. The Eddie Bauer or Limited was for me.
Now I am going to embark on the 100000 mile service. I have found much information in the forum and feel comfortable doing it. Well maybe except for changing the tranny fluid which I may have done.
My question though is this. I have seen reference to the generation of V6. How do I know what generation I have?
Many thanks, Daveinflorida
