My wife baught me a Blaupunkt in-dash CD player for Christmas and with my birthday coming up in February, I was wondering what a decent pair of speakers for $50-$60 would be.
I'm looking at a Crutcfield catalog right now and was thinking about the Blaupunkt PCxt573 5x7/6x8 3-ways for $49.99. Thire specs are:
Sensitivity 93db
Frequincy Response 55-20K
Maxam Power 50 watts RMS
The CD player is rated at 220 watts.
All opinions and recomedations are greatly appreciated:)

At least for rear fill you can get the Jensen 6x8s at Walmart for $35-40. Not great for the front, but great for the rear.

i was going to suggest the pioneer 3 ways from walmart... they are fairly cheap and sound decent for regular speakers... they are no substitute for good components with subs, but they are good for budget minded good speakers....

Go to a local stereo store and listen to various speakers; the best will be the ones you like best.

I would hafta second the Pioneers. I actually have the two ways in the rear, and have enjoyed them. Great for the budget minded. I also purchased the Kenwood 5.25" components for the front.
