What is a "material hold"?

Order date was 3/10. Just called 800 number to get some info. No VIN yet. Was told my X is on "material hold" awaiting materials. Anyone else have this? Know anything about it?

Material hold is a hold status due to parts shortage.

Did you order the inflatable rear seat belts?

I ordered it with the seat belts as well. Also in black. Will these to factors delay production?

Folks seem to still be getting their black EXs..and some have gotten their inflatable seat belts....so far you're good.
