VR 2 (virtual reality sound labs) 400watt 4 channel. Ive never heard of this type of amp before, it came in my Explorer when i got it and quickly removed it. Is it good? or plain crap? oh and when I hooked it back up to the ground and power it snaped a spark and the protection light blipped once (there is no green light located anywhere and it has a clear cover. Ill throw a pic of it on here in a minute (is dark outside) Thanks for any input

they are crap my buddy bought an amp sub combo from kmart i think it was and it actually got real hot and left a burn mark in his seat

id junk the thing

$69.99 at Walmart... Toss it.

get a good amp....in the long run it will save you the money from your truck burrning when the amp shorts and starts sparking.

happy is right, it sure is better than no amp at all, u can probably use it for mids/highs and get a decent amp and a sub to reinforce the lows; whatever you end up doing let us know!!

Heres what I did... I took some wires and put em through the doors for the door speakers I m just gonna use this cheap crap for these door speakers its plenty of power for all 4 of them. Im probally gonna get some MA audio speakers with a high wattage, I want my music to be heard, then when i just got some money to throw around Im goin to get a good amp and subs plus a new Alt. the one in the Ex now its not soundin good and it looks like the original.

Why should I toss that amp, I figured it was a good idea to keep it just for the highs and mids in the doors, Like FEX said. (srry pics so large

why spend the time running wires through the doors I bought speaker harness adapters and put the new speakers in the doors then ran the speaker wires from the amp to behind the radio and hooked them up from there less headache I've learned that running speaker wire through doors are nothing but trouble the only thing that you should watch for is that you hook the wires up going into the trucks wire harness and not into the radio
