I'm picking up an explorer and will have some cash left, but I'm looking for a little more bump so I'm going with a 15" Kicker L7.

The specs from the site are:
15" subwoofer with dual 2-ohm voice coils
square SoloKon polypropylene cone with Santoprene rubber surround
aluminum basket
power range: 100-1,000 watts RMS (500 watts per voice coil)
peak power: 2,000 watts
frequency response: 18-100 Hz
sensitivity: 89.4 dB

I don't know way to much about them, but I'm looking for what specs I need in an amp. Not really looking for suggestions as to what amp to get, just around what specs I need.

Thanks in advance.

I would give it at least 1000 watts. You'll hurt a sub much more quickly with an underpowered amp because you'll have to crank it, adding distortion or clipping the signal, versus giving it too much clean power. You can always turn it down. You can also get away with less power with a ported enclosure versus sealed. I'd still find a GOOD amp that does 1000 watts or more at the correct impedence. Use your nose, and if it starts to stink, turn it down!
