I'm looking to get new tires and wheels shortly after i get perrys fenders installed front and rear on my 96 4 door. I was wondering what you guys would recomend for tires sizes. I know that a 33x12.5 tire would fit without the fenders, so im wondering about 35s? I'm pretty sure they would too, but im afraid i would lose suspension travel which is important too me because i like run it nice and fast in the desert. Any input guys? Thanks :)

with 35's you might need an extra inch say do a 3inch bl and you could fit 35's on normal fender with trimming. 33's should fit

If you can wait until June when I don the exact same thing with my 98 mounty, I will tell you. Several people have suggested to me that I go with 33x10.50x15 and hub extentions to clear the frame. I do not plan to do more than 1 inch of TT though. I want ground clearance but I don't want tall and top heavy.

i don't remember his name... started with an sk or something but he had 2" torsion twist, 3" body lift and fiberglass fenders with 35" bfg at's and he still rubbed quite a bit. don't know if it actually hurt anything or just sounded bad when it rubbed but it did rub. there are atleast a couple people on here running 3+ inches of torsion twist and say they have had zero problems with it. so if u wanted 35's i'd go with a 3" body lift and maybe some extra torsion twist. that or deal with it probably rubbing. i dunno just a thought...

Sounds like i'l stick with the 33x12.5 tires then. You guys think i should go wider though, since the tires flare out? Maybe get my rims offset an extra inch outward to help out with that? Get some 33x13.5 or something..

You can fit a 295/75/16 BFG AT on stock rims---which is 34" tall. My good friend had this on his '95 Explorer Expedition with glass fenders, 2"BL, and slight TT.

you are gonna want something a little wider to fill up the wheelwells IMO or it will look funny. Watch out though...too wide and bye bye wheel bearings.

perry's web site doesnt show prices or ordering info.
you guys know how much for 97 4dr.

probably the same ad for my 96. if you email them they will send pics and prices. if i recall correctly its about $150 for each piece, so 300 for the front fenders, and 600 for the rear sine the rears are 2 pieces per side

inh. if you trim the inner fender wells after the glass install (this doesnt apply to the rear) the front will fit 35's fine. I did a test fit on my 00 with just 3" bl and glas the front fit. The rear is the prob. install the glass remove the excess and you still might have a problem with it hitting the whell tub. if you can make that wider then go for it. or just make sure you land flat everytime.

Thanks for the info. The front Set looks like it would just swap and bolt up,
The rear panels go all the up to the roof and around the windows. My questiuon is does the rear need to be seamed with fiber glass to an existing body part.
