What Transmission Do I Have?

How do I identify my transmission? '98 Explorer XLT. Tag on the inside of the drivers door does not say, unless it's a code that is not clearly associated.

Not enough info. What engine? Auto or manual? 4x4, 4x2, AWD?

If it is a V6 you have a 5R55E auto trans, if it is a V8 you have a 4R70W auto trans.
