What would cause the fan to turn on every 3 seconds?

I have another random issue with my X that i needs some troubleshooting with. Occasionally when i warm-start the truck and let it idle the fan will turn on then off rythmically (every 2-3 seconds). It seems to happen only when the truck is in drive. I thought it could be the tps since i've had this problem when another vehicle in the past but i have no codes. So what could it be? MAF? HELP!!!

If it happens when you have your A/C is on it could possibly be your compressor cycling which sounds like a fan. Other than that I would check your T-stat or replace it all together, it is only a few bucks.
