What's the easiest way to get your cigarette-power-sockets to turn off when you turn the ignition off ?

2004 Mercury Mountaineer, 4liter, V6, 'awd', previous owner removed front drive shaft for unknown reasons.

Power them from a source that’s only live when the key is on. Have you checked the other power outlets? Often cars will have a switched and unswitched.

I did check both cigarette sockets. Both of them stay on when the key is removed from the ignition. Also, there are no usb ports anywhere that I could find, definitely none in the radio.
 






Wire in a 4 pole relay triggered by the radio turn on lead would be the easiest solution
