i just traded my mazda b2000 for a 93 4x4 exploder with a 5 speed- I understand this may be a good platform to start a build from since its got the 4.0l and the workable suspension- However the previous owner kinda tweekered this thing out so it needs some work...I'm sure you'll all be hearin from me soon after i get it to my house...

There is no shortage of tweekers in Centralia

i woulda liked a b2000 . good trade though. what u gonna do with the explorer?

brooklyn-thanks for the welcome!

and about the plans for it, i finally took delivery today after a week of bs trying to get the title-figures! lol but its in my driveway now, currently defying the tire size reference chart with its stock body and suspension sittin on 31x10.5s....My girl and i like to get away a lot in the summer, and an explorer plus a twin futon mattress equals an instant tent...I'm thinking i probly need a rear locker before anything else, but eventually I'd like a 2-4 inch suspension lift and maybe wristed arms just to be safe and reliable about it...basically a solid, capable trail rig that doesnt look like its trying to compensate for a small d**k...I'll be doin a lot of comfort upgrades inside and maybe a couple performance bolt ons, rear regearing if i got to bigger tires, etc...Also considering a gray line-x job on the exterior, since my buddy's yota in high school was black line-x and gave me an actual skin burn once in the summer...Well that turned out a bit long winded, but thats the plan...any tips are greatly appreciated since ive never built an explorer before-dont hesitate to shoot me some criticism if you see a gaping hole in my plan anywhere...

p.s.-thanks to everybody for bein so cool to the new guys, its quite the opposite on a lot of honda forums and such...
