Changed front pads around 8K miles ago, just recently the brakes have gotten kinda spongy and doesn't stop well at all. Yesterday I started the truck, topped off the brake fluid and left the cap off, pressed brakes with the cap off, no fluid level change at all. Could this be a bad master cylinder or what? No strange noises, just doesn't stop well.

ya have someone bleed it for u

oo and ajust ur rear drums as well cuz chances are that they are way out of ajustment

Check your rear wheel cylinders, when you adjust your drums. Often times when they leak they are the culprit for a spongy peddle.
