Whee! Stalling, misfiring/backfiring!

Well, after counting my luck after getting a new tranny under waranty, and having two o2 senors replaced as the check engine light came on after leaving the shop; the truck has started idling roughly at a stop, backfiring or misfiring..(I cant tell, the truck jumps hard at highway speeds and the check engine light comes on and you get that smell in the cabin...) and even sometimes stalling when stopped. Well, at least I can get into four wheel drive easy.. Needed it this last snow storm here. Only got stuck twice. :P
 






Sounds like a vacuum leak to me. might want to check your hoses and connections. Also go to Advanced Auto parts store, I think they are the ones that will pull the codes for you causing the check engine light to come on.
 






Yes, thanks, I thought of that right after I posted. Theres a cap on a vacuum line that I've had to replace with a plugged rubber hose that keeps coming off. Im not sure why its there since it never connected to anything, just had a cap.
