so i have been researching my options to replace bearings. my drivers side rear had developed a bad intermittent metal on metal grind at low speeds. since the i would assume a grind means the metal has gouged, i am going to get the whole hub assembly. i would assume that the other side would not be far behind, but do you think that i could get away with just replacing the bearing on the passenger side??? i dont want to pay for the whole assembly ($115) if i can get away with just a bearing ($25). has anyone had any luck just replacing a bearing? btw i got 130k miles

in my experience, i would highly recomend doing both sides. some may say different, but i look at it as if your brakes were wore out and the pass side was "ok" but the driver side was shot, you would still do both sides..

The bearings are only sold as an assembly for this particular truck..BOOOO!!
