Hey guys, everytime I hit a good bit of mud I get mad wheel hop. Any one know what it could be caused from? Maybe I need new struts or maybe my tires just arent gripping? Anyone have any ideas?

"wheel hop" usually occurs on dry pavement where the tires have a lot of grip. Having said that, since most "mud holes" are a depression in the ground and the axle droops away from the chassis, maybe the problem is that the shocks are worn out and the shocks are not able to absorb the cyclical motion of the leaf spring.

Shocks supposed to last 80k miles on normal pavement. Might last just one mile on bad off-roading...

I did install Monroe Sensatrac and (because I wasn't completely happy on rear) after that KYB shocks on mine.
I would recomend the KYB MonoMax for offroading.

its says you drive a 97 sport? they come with the mono leaf rear suspension. my 99 sport was really jumpy feelin offroad - try swapping in 4 door leaf packs. the multi packs off a 4 door bolt right up no modification and can be bought for <$50 usually. the stiffer rear springs seem to handle much better on the trail (plus helps with towing and makes the truck corner better)

goodluck!
