Hi
In my 98 XLT the front wheel locks stayed on continuously. it went to overdrive, but stayed in fixed 4 wheel drive all the time. OK. I took it in to local Ford garage (in Finland) who never has seen a real car. they have these fiestas, focus and even more funny "Ka"s.
It stayed there a week and they called me happy, that they fixed it by taking a solenoid out of use. It would not go to slow 4wd any more...
Ok in practise it no more goes to 4th gear and overdrive...the locks are open though.
what should I do ? I guess I find the wire that they took away, but how to make the gear box work again ? and locks open?
