When the Heat is on

When i turn my heat on my idle drops and then i hear a click. I got a 01 sport trac 2 wheel drive. even when im driving i can here it clicking has anyone else had this problem.And if you have how did you fix it?

if you have it on defrost, or defrost and floor, that click you hear is your a/c clutch cycling on and off. it is supposed to do that.

It seems like it wants to stall, Its annoying and kinda loud.and it does it on all the settings when the heat is on.

the idle will drop, but it shouldn't make it stall, and it should not do it on all setting. i would open the hood while the truck is running, and see if it is your a/c clutch engaging, and disengaging for sure or not.
