Where do the split collets go?

Finally got all my parts so my X is going down this weekend!! Only question now is, where do the split collets go on the rear sway bar? I know they keep it out of the rear leaf springs but I'm unclear on the concept. (Actually I'm always unclear on the conept but that's another story . . .)

yeti -

hope my email helped... just stick them on portion of the bar that's on the inside of the bushings. i tried to do some kind of paintbrush thing to show what i mean, but it didn't work out...

check out the pic... the split collet is obscured by the rear shock, but it goes on the bar, right before it bends to form the U shape.
