The code p0018 have shown up as Camshaft Position Sensor and i want to start with changing them first before i think about timing Chain. The car is perfectly fine except when its idling. When its on D there is a small tiny hesitation that comes from the engine.. its literally very tiny and the car’s performance as powerful as before no difference. This car particularly has very limited videos on youtube on how to fix or repair so its very hard to deal with sometimes.. any help?!

In reading some of the other posts on camshaft position sensor issues, it appears there are 4 sensors. Found the following;
"What the P0018 code means. P0018 is the OBD-II generic code indicating that the camshaft position sensor A for bank 2 does not correlate to the signal from the crankshaft position sensor."

Both turbos failed (impeller shread metal) both replaced, catalytic converters flooded with oil, multiple engine drain and clean.
Runs fine, after about 250 miles, P0018 error code, all 4 camshaft sensors replaced, still has error code but still runs great.
Engine trouble light on. Tester reads "Actual Intake Camshaft Position Bank 2(o) -18.36"
Mechanic states only resolve is timing chain.
Just not ready to replace timing chain.

If you change the timing chain it may also be a good idea to change the internal water pump. How many miles are on it?

I suspect if you clear the codes it just comes right back? The mechanic is right you need to pull the timing cover off and inspect all the components. As already mentioned the waterpump should be replaced if you do end up taking it apart. It is a critical failure point on these engines

Yep, mine just went at about 91,000 and luckily had an ESP to cover it.
