I was checking my fuses the other day and lost one. It is a 6.0a amp fuses and it is for the horn, since now it is not working. I went to all the auto stores and junkyards and no one has it. It is an off set fuse and it is oem. Any help would be helpful thanks :frustrate

If it is indeed an OEM fuse, you should be able to get it from a Ford dealer. Of course it will be a rip-off price though

If you could find a fuse that is rated under 6amps you would be ok. It may blow it but it may work just fine. Can't hurt to try. Just don't but a larger fuse in.

Well looked some more and the only place that has it is the dealershp, but they want $17.00 for it. Just for a fuse that is alot. Does anyone else know where I can get this "special" fuse at?

Local pick n save lot. Most yards dont take the fuse panel out for awhile. Go check it out.

$17.00! See, I knew it would be a rip-off, but I was thinking it would be a couple of dollars.....

Damn, my whole case of fuses didn't cost that much!
I would try a 5 amp fuse before you spend the 17 bucks

I know this is off base about the fuses, BUT my door would not close right last week, the striker bolt spacer broke off. When to Autozone and got the one the guy said was what I needed. $7.99 plus tax. When home and it didnt fit, different threat on the bolt. Just happened to drive by the local Ford place and stopped. Striker bolt at the dealer was $5.15. They are not always out of line.

(I just reread post about dealer price, sometimes you win and sometimes you dont)

Tried the 5amp fuse but no luck would not fit in at all. Needs to have smaller prongs then just a regular fuse.

Now I think I know what sise fuse it is. It might be a fuse sise Chevy uses all the time. Go to a wrecker and get one from a Cavalier.

Checker auto has them. I work there as a second job and I just had a guy come in for a 30amp one for his cavalier those mutha's are huge.

any parts person at the chain stores should be able to find it... the people at the kragens at my work know there stuff well... if they cant find it or are too busy, i just grab their keyboard and look it up myself....

Yeah tried the stores again and they cant find anything or they are dumb. It is either one of the two. So if any ony can find this fuse other than the dealership, it would be much appreciated.
