02 Explorer mfg 05/02, 17mm (.66 inch) tie rod studs. Studs changed from 15mm studs before 03/02.

Dorman 13563 is listed as for a 5/8 inch diameter stud but no dimension listed on other end. If too big it would fill with mud. Why do they sell something like that without listing the other dimension?

I think I need 1 3/16" X 5/8"

TIA

I just bought through the parts supplier for $69 the 15mm stud and rod for mine. I needed a new knuckle off an 02 because my 04 had a 17mm. Moog part was what I used.

The date of the change from 15mm to 17mm was March 02

I can well afford to pay $69 for a $3 dust boot but this just goes against my principles. A real rip-off. These dust boots are the cheapest made of any I have ever seen and rip any time you get close to them.

Still looking for a 5/8 inch dust boot with a 1 3/16 inch other end/base.

This is the closest dust boot I have found:

Dust Cover (Seal)
For Steering Drag Link Front Ball Joint
Fits International / Farmall Tractors:
1.200 X .475 X .500
FDS336 $3.50

Done been through energy suspension. They dont have anything close. Ditto Dorman. They dont even know the sizes. Only the part numbers.
Thanks anyway.
