If your not wanting to turn it over... then really all you can do it take it apart and see if the chain is bad, most likely it is. Go find a set of junk yard heads to rebuild and get a new chain.

Not much help there thks... but befor I take it apart i would like to know what whent bad...

on the soch engines the plastic timing chain guides wear and break i would start by reading a few stickies on the problem and then inspect to see if thats what happened to your engine

Thank you, I have done alot of reading...Did find by looking into the oil filler that the chain is there and is no interferince with valves,to pistons....Skipd a few teeth ? bad sensor?

it could also be the rear chain the runs the passenger side cam but if they look ok you can try turning the engine over and see if it seems ok. another thing you can do is see if there are any codes stored in the computer to steer you in the right direction

2000 street rod Thank you I have read alot of ur posts.... how do ya kno when ya get a bad sensor? How can i till if it skiped timing? How to check codes with no obd?
